21 is being released today on DVD. It stars Jim Sturgess of
Across the Universe as Ben Campbell, a brilliant MIT student who joins a group of other students (including Jill Taylor, played by Kate Bosworth of
Superman Returns) that make weekly trips to Vegas, where they count cards to make millions. Also in the cast are Two time Oscar winner Kevin Spacey and Oscar nominee Laurence Fishburne. This film is okay. Good, not great, but okay. There are a lot of good things about this movie, such as the acting, and actually a pretty exciting story. But there's some bad stuff, too, like the somewhat cheesy writing and the very, VERY irritating score. However, on top of everything, there's something really entertaining about
21. It's not a masterpiece, but it's not terrible. I personally recommend the film. It's actually pretty good. I give it a 2 1/2 out of 4.
